Thoughts on these new tubes?

Any recommendations for retubing?? I have stock tubes in my AD30HTC now... are those Ruby's?

Wow... thanks for that. That sounds very exciting. I want to try a set. If you do or anyone else does, please give a full report!

I got one and put it in my Bogner XTC and am verrry pleased with it. Best current production 12ax7 out there by far. I will try it in my ad140 once it gets out of the shop.

Hey, when you put the quad in, did you have to re-bias your amp? I'm thinking of doing the same...

you don't have to re-bias for 12ax7's.

Misread... thought he was talking about EL84s. How do you go about rebiasing (I've got an AD30R)?

Even if you're replacing the EL84s? I thought you had to rebias when replacing EL84s...

By the way, any recommendations for tubes for replacing them? I tend to play miked up, so I don't want something that takes ages to drive... but equally I want to be able to hear the notes i'm hitting in chords.

Hmm.
