Quoplay, you might just want to get a hotter-sounding (ie more powerful) set of pickups in your Tele. Billy here (bclaire) has done that with some of his Teles and gets some really good sounds with his AD30.
Other than that, get a G&L guitar! They can be had cheaply (for their quality) on eBay, and the cheaper 'Tribute' models, whilst not quite as good as the USA models, are still fantastic instruments and better than many Fenders i've played. Very good value - the pickups and hardware are all the same as the USA G&Ls.
