I posted this so everyone can tell the world what model of Orange amp is there favorite and what kind of music they play it with and the results you get. Vintage or Reissue lets hear what you play...............

I use a vintage 1974 OR120 with the matching 4x12 cab with a distortion pedal (sounds amazing!) and I'm awaiting my newly ordered AD140htc Head. I'm looking for a pix only OR120 to satisfy my Orange Obsession and then I will be ok.....for a while at least. I play Heavy melodic Rock or Rock Alternative as some of you say. Check out the web site www.rallycar.ca . I find the orange cuts through the mix and gives it some kick. I used to use a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier but now I can never switch back. The Orange kills the boogie, I found the boogie was too messy. enough about me. Lets hear what the rest of you use.

I use the guitar, amp, and cabinet listed in my signature at the bottom of this reply. i run the guitar through a homebrew distortion pedal based on an mxr distortion +. the tone is great because the humbuckers going through the orange cause exceptionally good crunch in the lower midrange, its a very pleasant (and heavy) distortion, not all highend and ear piercing but not all low and muddy either. its a great sound, in my opinion of course.

Well, for years my OR80M was my favorite amp but since the introduction of the new Oranges, I waver between the AD140TC head and the AD30TC combo. I love 'em both and basically it's the size of the gig/ venue and my mood at the time as to how much equipment I want to move that determines which one I'll bring.

We're STILL recording our first CD and the 140 was the amp of choice for 98% of the sessions with the 30 watt used for many of the solos. There IS a little bit of Marshall 6101 on one song and I used the engineer's AC30 Vox on another for feedback background noises...

My main band is kind of a modern rock sound- think Stereophonics/ Coldplay/ Tori Amos- ish- built around the songwriting of our bass player and singer, Sheryl.

Then I have a few-gigs-a-year cover band that I usually use the 140 for- we did an outdoor gig in September and I got to use the 140 with 2 4X12's and open it up- what a huge sound! Can't do it everywhere but man, did that amp SING! We do all sorts of stuff from Iggy Pop to Stones to Eddie Cochran to Lenny Kravitz to The Cult. Fun band...

and generally I use Fender Esquires with neck humbuckers added, the occasional Strat, SG Jr., Dobro, J-100, etc. Billy

Im using a AD30Htc with a 212 sonic cab (looks like a Vox AC30)
got it loaded with vintage 30s for FX Boss CS2-Boss VWah-TS808-DoD FX90 delay-Boss BD2-Dunlop Tremolo-VooDoo Labs Overdrive
My main Guitar is A Jimmy Vaughan strat I also use 50th anv Telly
PRS custom22 A Valley Arts Telly & a Jackson Scott Ian model

I play a wide virity of music but were donig mainly rock blues rock and southern rock SRV ,Skynyrd,Allman bros, cream,Hendrix,All the kings( Freddy Albert & BB ) Some Led Zep, Tom Petty,James Gang

And the AD30tc works great for all that stuff better than my boogies Fenders or my matchless it really lets the true voice of the guitar come through even wih all the FX lol

i play a Washburn N4 through a BigMuff(only sometimmes if it feels right!) directly in my 199X Orange OD120 Reeissue, through a 2x12 Orange(2xV30) and an Ampeg V4(some Eminence)...but only Overdriven! For Clean i use an Luxor "Fender Pro Reverb" Copy Through a 2x15 cab...

I use it for Stoer and 70's Rock...sometimes for Blues and Country....

Why is an ORANGE, orange? If it would be Green it would be an apple....

Mainly, I use my G&L ASAT Classic Bluesboy Semi-hollow (with a harmonic design S90 in the bridge/Duncan Jazz in the neck) though my Orange AD30HTC with an older OR series cab with Vintage 30's. The cab originally had Orange-labled G12T75's (anybody want 'em?), but the V30's are awesome with the AD30!

I was able to track this setup in a studio last week. I'll post clips when the songs are done if anyone's interested.

I'm using a Fender Tele (a girl's guitar of choice!)through an AD30TC head and 212 cab, with a Boss chorus pedal for added sparkle and a Boss compressor for solo boost.
It's all I need!<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Nice sound, that rallycar ! Congrats.

I use a ORANGE AD200B Bassamp, with a 2000 USA Fender Jazzbass (white), and a AMPEG SVT 410 HLF Cabinet (4x10).

Our singer/guitar Hannelore uses (my) vintage ORANGE OD120, (serial in my signature so you can date it yourself yeah right :) it's not a reissue but a real old one :)), with a Gibson Nighthawk Special, and a KITTY HAWK Celestion Lead 4*12 cabinet.

to make the picture complete :)
Our other singer/guitar Jelle uses a Marshall JCM 900 Hi Gain Double Reverb, with a 1960a Marshall Cabinet, and a Gibson Les Paul Special guitar.

And our drummer plays a TAMA Strarclassic Maple shell drumset.

Maybe you should check us out :)
