currently at $1200!!! its a reissue! its insane that people are paying more for a reissue of a vintage than the actual vintage itself. or am i out of the loop? do vintage or120s go for $1500+ or something?

Hey,People
I'm the guy who bought the OR120 Overdrive Reissue on eBay recently
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... gory=10171
...it's worth the price since with a few capacitor and resistor changes, it will sound near exactly like my original '70's Oranges. I like to take reissues to play out, and in spite of the ascerbic comments, the transformers are quite robust.
These are still great amps, reissues or originals, I personally own NINE of them, excuse me ELEVEN of them since I just purchased two AD-5's NIB.
I play every kind of guitar through them and get the sound I want...

Good for you, Orange amps arent cheap but they are worth every penny. They are also prety damn hard to find too. At least here in Canada. <BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote> I personally own NINE of them, excuse me ELEVEN of them since I just purchased two AD-5's NIB.

i'm glad it went for almost $1300. just means orange is in demand and people are willing to pay a lot to own them. kind of like Moog synthesizers. 8 years ago you could buy a moog synth for like $50, now just finding one is hard and if you do they go for at least $600. my moogs and my orange are now worth more than my car...
