That's a bit sad. Moreover for the ones like me that doesn't want to put a toe in facebook.
Despite the low activity, I really liked this forum.
Yes, me too. It just hasn't had a lot of interest of late (past year and a half) and it feels like the Facebook groups are getting all of the questions and photos and stuff.
I enjoy the discussions but more and more all I'm doing is trying to figure out if a new member is real or spam.

Thanks Billy! I’ve certainly enjoyed this forum and its going to be an adjustment not checking in for new posts! I had a feeling this was coming for reasons you mentioned.
Cheers,
Jon
Thanks Jon- it's been quieter and quieter over the past year. Not like back in the day when there were lots of posts each day! I've enjoyed reading them all!
You on facebook?
Yes. I try to keep a low profile. Follow a few groups including the Orange amp owners group as well as The Allens (love the halloween pics!). Find me under Jon D Nash. One reason I like the forum better than the FB group is it’s more private. Don’t have anything to hide, but no reason all my FB friends need to see my posts about Orange amps. Its conversation that doesn’t concern them. Kind of weird having a friend who knows nothing about amps asking me all about my posts in the Orange FB group.

I am saddened.
Although I haven't been here since the beginnigs, I must say I have really enjoyed this place. No hate, no arrogance, no misinformation. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of facebook groups. Too bad forums like that one come to an end!
Anyways, take care everyone!

Be careful with the alternate forum. There is no way to ascertain who owns it or is behind it as it's a domain by proxy to hide who really owns it. My concern would be it's a phishing site.

The admin there is a legitimate Orange enthusiast. As for being a domain by proxy, that's not uncommon. Take the Marshall forum for example:

Billy, they only ask for your email address- like all other forums. Not much data fished there. Not even a name, dob or anything else. If they are phishing, they aren't phishing much.

In any case, I hope it's legit.
If this forum really does close, I'd love to have somewhere else we could call our Orange home.
You could join in too, and contribute without having to delete / monitor spammers... !!!!
