Treble Boosters

Post by gazman83 » Thu Nov 14, 2019 8:47 pm

Hi guys,

Anyone use Treble Boosters with their Orange? particularly AD15/30 range?

I'm getting really interested in pulling the trigger on an Analogman Beano Booster or Catalinbread Naga Viper, it should suit the darker vox circuit of my AD15, but not heard many experiences from Orange users.

Cheers

I have both of those pedals, and both have been fantastic with my OR15, OR50, OR100, and RV100. I use the Beano Boost most often, but will not part with either of them. Don't spare the amp dirt when using these.. :D

Edit: The opening riff here is the Naga Viper into my OR100. The solo adds a Dunlop Bonamassa wah into the Viper. The other guitar is my bandmate's TV200; I don't recall what pedals he recorded with. His are the spacy octaves during the first part, and crushing rhythm in the latter.

They both use rectifier and EL84, but the AD15/30 haven't got the same circuit as AC30.

It's a bit like saying fender and Marshall are the same because they both use ECC83.

Let us know how you get on re: treble booster, I'd be interested to hear what you think it brings to the table as I have an AD15.
I do enjoy the warmer/darker tones it gives though, I feel right at home there.
