I've never tried and figured I'd ask here before I mess something up.
So, is there a way to use preamp of the DT and power of CR120? If so, let an idiot know how.

Nope. But if it's headroom and output power you seek, it could be done with a Bad Cat Unleash.

I your DT is a Dual Terror, no.
If it is a Dark Terror, I would tentatively say yes. Take to sound out via the fx loop send, plug it in the desired amp fx loop return. That should work.
For safety, I would still plug each amp in their respective speaker cabinets.

NEVER run an amp without a cab or loadbox.
