Orange crush 12 with Pedals
Hi, I've got an Orange crush 12 and was just wondering if anyone has ran any sort of pedal through it and what were the results?
Re: Orange crush 12 with Pedals
That's a slightly odd question. I don't own a Crush 12 but like any guitar amp, you will be able to run pedals into the front of it. How successful it would be will depend entirely on what you are trying to achieve.
Be assured that pedals designed for use with guitar will not harm your amp.

Re: Orange crush 12 with Pedals
The amp has a very good eq, and takes pedals good, even my cathedral reverb worked quite well, as long I kept the dirt down. The problem of that amp is it's size and the speaker. I opened the back wich helped a bit but don't expect too much.
On a clean setting with a dirt pedal and a reverb or delay behind it it sounds pretty nice.
Tried it with my Bangeetar and also Janus fuzz and wah, cool practice thing and maybe even suitable for recording some stuff.

Re: Orange crush 12 with Pedals
Thanks for you reply, I'm a beginner, when you say 'clean channel', do you mean everything at 12 o clock? Or the overdrive turned right down?
Re: Orange crush 12 with Pedals
I meant clean as a setting, the crush is a single channel amp.
All on twelve o clock won't work, that could be a starting point for te eq settings but has no effect on the amount of dirt (overdrive/distortion) coming out of the amp.
By clean I mean undistorted sound.
Turn the volume to max, keeping gain and overdrive at zero then start to turn up the gain. The sound should be clean untill you reach a point when it gets dirty. Setting it this way you can put an overdrive or distortion pedal in front of it and then you can switch between clean and dirty sounds. I hope it makes sense to you.
Have fun experimenting!

Oh no problemo bro!

A must for every beginner, focus on your guitars controlls and playing technique before even thinking about pedals.
I really enjoy setting the amp dirty and then clean up the sound using just the volume knob on my guitar when needed.
Lots of fun to explore those trick's.
