Yellow Tiny Terror and other print errors

Hello!

First post here.

Few months back I contacted Orange about my yellow Tiny Terror I had just bought.

I was told that Orange's amps were silk screen printed at the time and that mine is missing a layer of red.
They were also surprised mine passed quality control.

I saw a few threads of the same happening before

understandably this guy was worried his amp is fake. He also said something about stiff pots which mine doesn't have. I don't really have any doubts about mine, if someone wants I can send more photos sometime next week when I get back home.

I bought mine used, the guy who sold it told me it might be faded or maybe it's just a print error. I'm not sure how many owner my TT had over the year, the seller was unsure about it being faded in the sun so I'm guessing he isn't the first owner. The guy wasn't happy about getting rid of his amp. He had just bought a new one so maybe his wife was making him sell one of his old ones  who, btw, showed up with him to sell it to me at the local gas station.

Anyway, I'm really happy with my TT, it matches my yellow guitar really well and like Orange's customer support said, it's rarer than having an orange Orange.

Have you guys had any experiences with print errors on Orange amps? Or other rarities. I saw a post about a guy receiving a prototype amp instead of a factory version. Stuff like this is really interesting to me.

Two things come to mind:
1. If it sat in a store window for a long time I could imagine the orange fading to yellow
2. I could also imagine a counterfeit not getting it right.

I think it'd be a bit crazy that the color of the amp would be the one thing they get wrong when all the stickers and other tags on the backside are right :P

Oh wow, thanks for the link bclaire. That's actually my amp. I looked at the photos and realized the scratch marks are exactly on the same spots as on mine so I checked the serial number on mine and I texted the seller if it's the same one and as it turns out, yes, that's mine.

Pretty funny.
