I have another interesting piece of orange Information to share.

I think this is one of the best Manuals for the OR120/OR80 out there!
A lot of really good info and it goes into more depth about the amp than most catalogs or manuals do.

I particularly like the section external effects where it talks about linking two heads together by the slave outputs.
You can run two heads together and control both of them from one amp.
I'm not too sure if that's information a lot of people know?
You can always run the slave out from the first amp into the front of the second amp but then you have to dial both in
and maybe that's what some people want for two different sounds blended but it's also cool you can basically just turn a second head
into a slave amp if you didn't have one available and control it all from the first amp for a more simplified set up if your just looking for more volume.

The Roadie Tip about hum could kill you though...

That's right! That third wire should be grounded. I used plugs similar to what is pictured when I
lived in my home built in the 1950's. When I used some home appliances and my Fender Twin or any other amps that had modern plugs on their power cords, I screwed that dangling 3rd wire to the outlet's center plate screw. The screw was grounded to the house wiring romex to ground. I never had a problem, but I used to witness many people who never thought to do that needed step.I don't
think that they gave it a 2nd. thought, either.

And that's why it's a good idea to have a roadie and let them set your amp up!

Mind you, the schematic seems to have been drawn up by the shop's tech rather than Orange themselves?

Yeah, that's pretty strange. The manual for the 1978 amps came with a schematic as well. Wonder what the date of this one is?

Here's a comparison of the two schematics.

Looks like it was drawn by Musonic in Illinois, who were the US distributor.

“One of the companies providing the backline equipment for some of these tours was the MUSONIC Company of Des Plaines, IL. They decided to start importing Orange Amplifiers and became the sole US distributor -- even going so far as to manufacture certain versions of Orange amps right here in the US."
