Orange Crush 20 Ldx

So I have an orange crush 20ldx and I cannot get a good gain tone without cranking the overdrive knob to maximum, if I turn the knob even a little counter clockwise I get a very bland "Empty Tone” any help would be appreciated!!!

tone is question of taste.
Difficult to answer that. Try to tweak a bit the tone knobs.

Play around with the settings. It is a starter/ beginner sort of amp so it's not going to sound like a tube Orange.
