Post by Quwir » Wed Jan 09, 2019 10:38 am

I've been searching for some guitar amp heads to play hard rock and metal for under $800 https://waveadvice.com/tube-amp-heads-buyers-guide/ but i couldnt find many options
does anybody know one that fits the things above?
and if you know a cabinet to go with it...

If you can get gold of a R30.... ?

Great rock, hard rock, stoner amp. Will need help for metal. Otherwise, TH30.

You wanna spend Under $800 for an Orange head and cab? Your best bet is the CR120H (solid state) and PPC212, they also make a Crush 4x12 for the same price as the PPC212 if you want a bigger cab. Hybrid amp heads they have the Micro Terror and Micro Dark terror. Its gonna be tough to get a tube amp in that budget but it can be done, find a used Tiny Terror, Dark Terror, OR15 and PPC112. Or spend a little more and get a Rocker30 head.

I recently tried a PRS MT15 and it sounded fantastic.

Sometimes you can find a used AD30 for under $800. I got my AD30 combo used for $700 and the only thing wrong with it was a blown fuse. IMO one of the all time best sounding amps. Just wish it was 40 lbs lighter.
