Crush 12 Amp Settings

Does anyone here know of a good website or boards that have good information on some good settings on the dials for my Crush 12 amp I can just dial in to recreate genres.

The music styles I am wanting to mostly play are older punk and rock e.g. Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks, Ramones, Stiff Little Fingers.

Rock like Joan Jett, Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin.

So not really heavy of or metal stuff.

Thanks for any help :D

Welcome to the forum!

Really, you should just play around with the settings yourself and explore what works best for your guitar.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll experiment with it.

My wife and I are both brand new to playing guitar. So I’m sure we’ll grow into it all.

Amazing joint venture!!! I hope you both stick to it and have a lot of fun along the road!!!

As for settings...... most of these bands will have had different settings for different songs.

Your amp may not be able to recreate or approximate them all, so try and find the best tones your amp offers for the style of music you're trying to play.

Extra mids add warmth. Remove them somewhat you may get something with more glassy cleans. Extra bass and mids make you sound thicker..... but the extra bass less defined... Extra treble helps you cut through.... but can be ear prancing.....
It's all a balancing act.

Usually too, less gain is more. Less gain and more volume helps getting a more articulate dynamic tone. The more you add gain the more compressed and less dynamic your touch/tone gets.

I hope these pointers help.
Don't forget it's all about having fun. There's no right or wrong. What sounds great on its own can get lost in the mix, what sounds crappy on its own can really fill out parts or sound great recorded.

There's a few guys on YouTube who have videos out on how to set tour amp. Just type in how to set my guitar amp or how to dial in(I hate that phrase) my guitar amp and you'll find a few useful videos.
