New rig with a few things missing! Please help!

Hello! Im a new user and owner of Orange Amps, more spesifically the Dark Terror amp.

This is my rig. The speaker cabinet you're looking at is a Palmer 212 V30 OB if you wondered.
I would like to gain a much darker and metal sound, for reference simular to the sound of Trivium on its In Waves album.
Could you guys discuss and help me getting a pedal that can do this for me (or pedalS)

I think you need to go to a music store and try out pedals. We can suggest stuff, but it's your ears that you want to please.

Well i would do that, but the closest guitar centre is miles away and they do not have the orange amplifier. So a good recommendation would help

I think you would be able to get kind of close using the shape knob around 2-3 o'clock position. Otherwise a 10 band in the loop will allow you to shape everything more in depth. One thing you might be missing would be the tightness that Trivium has in their tone. For that, you could try backing off the gain and us a boost in front of the amp. that is kind of the recipe for modern metal tones. Adam from Killswitch Engage used a dark terror for a while if I am not mistaken so if you listen to his tone from the era he was using it, that should give you an idea of its possibilities.

Can you close the back on your cab? Try a darker speaker than a V30.
