So, long story short, got some cash to spend and I am thinking about upgrading stock pickups in my 88' Tele. Here is what I am expecting from my new pups:
-Noiseless
-Retain Tele character (twang and all that stuff)
-No high gain, rather low-to-mid gainy pickup
-Work well with Orange-like distortion (I have Rockerverb MK1)
-Reasonable price (no boutique stuff).
I was thinking about some humbuckers like Seymour Duncan Little 59, Dimarzio Chopper T. Any other suggestions?

Look at Dominger custom pickups. Joce will make you a fine set, just tell him what you require. They have several lines of pickups already and I have used three different humbucker sets, two strat sets and jazz bass. They make wonderful gear and you're feeding a family, not some corporation. If you're on Facebook look them up.

BTW, I play a lot of classic rock, 80s metal and stoner/doom. My favorite sounds come from my bucking bull and raw set from Dominger.

I've got an EHX Hum Debugger that I use with my Tele.. gets rid of the Hum without switching to Humbuckers or noiseless single coils.
I have low-medium output Lollar pickups, I love them. I'm able to reproduce a ton of different tones on my Rocker 15 with this setup.. and it's very very quiet.
Unfortunately the Hum Debugger does require it's own AC Power adapter and it's a pretty big pedal.

I have no experience with either..... but I have a set of noiseless DiMarzio Virtual Vintage 54 strat pick ups in my Vigier Expert, and they are simply excellent pick ups.mici88 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 4:54 pmSo, long story short, got some cash to spend and I am thinking about upgrading stock pickups in my 88' Tele. Not 100% like a strat, a touch more low end, but it does all the strat sounds u need and has a lovely bell like tone and the high end.

Re: Telecaster vs Orange RV - looking for pickup recommendation
I tried quite a few telecaster pickups for clean and classic rock levels of gain, one of which was the dimarzio chopper. The best sounding by far was made by 'The Creamery ' hot telecaster pickups... Handmade
in Manchester not boutique prices though and fantastic sounding, totally recommended.
