New Orange 212 Cab Orange PPC212 V 120?
Hello everyone.I have not posted here for a while but I used to own a crush pro 120 head but sold it a few years back have always regretted it so I went into the guitar center the other day to try one out again and thinking about getting another one.
So the cab I’m thinking of getting with it is the new orange to 212 vertical series does anybody have any experience with these cabs? I haven’t seen any threads about them on this forum.Or the crush pro 412 they offer for the CR 120 but I’m thinking the vertical cab has better speakers. It has the Neo creamback speakers in them and I’ve heard the creambacks can have a smoother sound and the one thing I noticed with the CR 120 is that the treble can get quite harsh.
Thanks any feedback would be greatly appreciated as soon as possible as I’m going to make my decision today or tomorrow. Sweetwater here in the US has a great financing option right now and it ends the 31st so any feedback is greatly appreciated thanks.

I don't dig the votw speakers in the crush series. I would honestly recommend the standard PPC212OB. Lots of folks use one of those with a cr120 and seem to like it. I haven't heard much about the 212V, aside from the cab being skinnier than the standard orange head width.

Boy_Narf... Thanks I went ahead and ordered the ppc212v and CR-120 I figure if I don’t like it I will return it and probably go with the cab you mentioned. I Like the idea of a light cab and interested in the sound of the Neo Creambacks so crossing my fingers. And I double checked the specks on the width of the CR- 120 with the head being just a few centimeters wider just barley wider. So it should fit well plus the depth is bigger on the cab. Thanks again for your input I will report back when it arrives

It'll be interesting to hear what you think of the 212V.

Les Paul lover, Yes I sure will it should be here later this week. I am a bit surprised there are not more reviews online of them I only seen one on guitar center site. And Orange does not seem to be talking about them much no videos for them on there YouTube page just a couple of mentions on some namm videos, in fact Ade Emsley said he wasn’t to thrilled about them in the video hmmm.

Interesting... Orange are ruthless with discontinuing products that aren't doing well I wonder if this cab will be next of the list...luckyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Sep 04, 2018 2:52 amLes Paul lover, Yes I sure will it should be here later this week. Ya it could be I didn't know that about orange discontinuing products that don't do well.I hope it sounds good because I really like the idea of a lightweight 212 but with that sweet Orange tone
But don't know why someone like ADE would go through with making such a cabinet he didn't like, well he didn't say he didn't like it he was just saying it was hard to get it sounding the way he wanted it but he prefers the 212 closed back. He seemed not to like the vertical idea.

Ade's ideal cab is a 410 or 210ppc cab. The PPC410 didn't do well. He loves 10" speakers.luckyguitar wrote: ↑Tue Sep 04, 2018 5:28 amYa it could be I didn't know that about orange discontinuing products that don't do well.I hope it sounds good because I really like the idea of a lightweight 212 but with that sweet Orange tone

The PPC212V is a great idea IMO.
