Using Orange OB-1 300 on guitar, with a 16 ohm cabinet. Is it possible?

Hello Orange pals,

With my band are planning to use all a OB1-300 each (2 guitars, 1 bass) sort of Red Fang thing. Our bassist uses one, we tried it with guitar on a 2x12 cab with V30s in it. With little distortion from the amp and a cranked Catalinbread Chilli Picoso (similar to a MXR Microamp booster) sounds HUGE. The clean tone is still too sterile, but we are working on it.

Now my question is: I have a 16 ohm cab, the specs on the orange website for the amp say it goes with 1x4 ohm, 1x8 or 2x8, but the back of the head says "minimum 4 ohm", so should I be fine if I plug the amp into the 16 ohm cab? Or will it damage the head?
Also do you think this is a good band set-up? (post-metalish genre, tuned in open C). Or do you know any band using it?

Thanks a lot and have a nice evening :D

It should be fine, it will just be 75 watts instead of 300.
