micro dark headphone out to it's own power section. Can I do this??

Post by Riverman222 » Tue Jul 10, 2018 8:23 pm

I have a Micro dark and an 8 ohm 2x12 speaker cabinet. I want to hear the emulated 4x12 through my cabinet so...
Can I run a guitar cable from headphone out jack into its own effects return. Then a speaker cable from speaker out to my speaker cabinet?? It says I can use headphones out and speaker out at the same time. Basically instead of through headphones I want it through my speaker cabinet but I need it's power amp. Thanks everyone!

I’m going to say ‘yes you can do that’ however Id imagine it’d sound like crap.

Also emulated speaker out is just an eq roll off. You’re getting that from your 2x12.

I would think you’re going to get some nasty feedback. You would basically be looping the output back to the effect return and out again to the output. I would think the headphone and speaker out are from the output (post loop). Seems to me you’re feeding the output into the input.

I have a tube combo amp that I run the micros headphone out into the tubes effects return and it sounds great coming through 1 twelve. I don't see why there'd be feedback. If using to record it's going out the headphone out to be boosted through a speaker eventually. why not it's own. It's not over lapping anything. One solid signal flow. I'm just amplifying the headphone signal..
