Original Orange PA 120
Hi guys
I’m new here and look for some honest advice. I have an original Orange PA120 from the 70’s all in good working order, just been serviced, It still has the original valves. The pots on ch1 & 2 have slightly different knobs than the original ones as these were missing, also it has been painted black although some of the Orange is showing through.
Does any have any idea of what it’s worth if I sell it ?
Cheers
Nathan

Re: Original Orange PA 120
You said valves and cheers so I'm assuming you are in the UK?
Take a look through the 73 and 71 catalogs under serial numbers and tell us which one it is....

Ok ignore the last post I found your very extensive catalog range, however it's listed in both of the catalogs?

Re: Original Orange PA 120
It's hard to put a value on these... in some respects, they are early master volume amps and some people really like them for guitar but as a PA they are more of a curiosity. Is it cosmetically like the 71 catalog or the 73? The earlier version would probably bring a little more. That said, I'm in the states and I'm not sure what the value would be in the UK - here maybe $1K ish. Or maybe a little more... got any pix?

I might be interested (am I allowed to say that?).

Yeh it's been in the loft unused for the past 20 years, only dug it out as we're moving home. To be honest i had almost forgotten about it! It seems pretty rare as there is very little information about them other than this forum, i was hoping to find a few for sale to get an idea of the value of it but there aren't any out there.

No, they are quite rare, and, whilst rare, not necessarily a very diserable bit a gear.
They aren't great as a modern PA, and whilst they can be used as clean amps, people usually prefer a dedicated guitar or bass amp.

Re: Original Orange PA 120
It would make a great keyboard amp, or potentially even a bass amp.
