Is it lighter in weight?

Yes, it’s like 20 lbs or so lighter. Also easier to carry because I can get my arms around it easier. It’s listed on the website as 89 lbs vs 110 lbs. The weight difference is immediately felt. Both use 18mm ply.

Here’s a pic from before a show we did back in December (@ bottom of post; can’t get it to copy for embedment). That’s my friends early 90’s PPC with English made V30’s on the bottom, and my CRPRO412 on top. I took about 15 mins before we played to A/B them. The PPC had more bass and treble, but was also on the bottom, so that may have been why. My CRPRO had more cutting mids and a little less bass, but was on top so that may have been why.

Either way, both cabs are great, the VOTW speakers sound essentialy like V30’s, and I don’t really see a huge advantage of the size and price of the PPC over the CRPRO for what and how much I play. They sound really similar, IMO.

I posted on the Orange YouTube channel and the reviewer said they're doing an A/B of the two cabs next month. That makes me happy
