I don’t want to talk actual prices as that isn’t allowed on the forum but I am curious about trade values. I have a rockerverb mkiii 100 watt head and someone local has a mkiii combo and we are trying to arrange a trade. My experience has always been that a combo loses its value much faster than heads because shipping is expensive and most people favor heads over combos. Plus the head being 100 Watts vs the combo being 50 Watts could play a small role in value as well.
This would be a local deal so shipping isn’t an issue but I wanted to make sure my logic was sound or if anyone has any input that I am missing, that would be great. If this isn’t allowed, I apologize and feel free to delete.

Re: Trade questions
Is the combo a 212?
Big combos are hard to move.
It would seem a straight trade is fair, but if you can get some cash your way, good on you. It seems pretty fair though.

Re: Trade questions
Hi, we all want to get a decent deal but there are other factors at play... You want the combo and for whatever reason feel the head is n't doing it for you. Yes big combos can be difficult to move on and difficult to post but some people believe combo versions sound better. I can only compair my own experiences with having owned a rocker 30 combo and head... The head was sounded good but firmly believe the combo sounded better.

Re: Trade questions
Well that is the thing. I always prefer combos for the simplicity but I also really like my head. The combo would be a bit easier for my set up but I recently picked up a 212ob so it isn’t something I need to do. More than anything I just wanted to make sure it is fair for both parties.Ronnie Robinson wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 8:00 pmYou want the combo and for whatever reason feel the head is n't doing it for you.

Re: Trade questions
Combos are typically higher value than a head. I don't see the loss in value but more 100 watt vs 50 watt is the bigger issue. A 100 watt head is worth more than a 50 so I would think either an even trade or you paying a little bit for the combo.afjungemann wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 3:37 pmI don’t want to talk actual prices as that isn’t allowed on the forum but I am curious about trade values.
