Terror Bass 500 without a Cab

Hey guys,

sorry for this dumb question but I´m not sure right now.
Do I need an attenuator (load resistance) to use my TB500 without a cab?
This is not [edit:"only"] needed by a transistor amplifier, am I right?

You do with a class d amplifier which the Terror bass is.

I thought this is only needed if the power amplifier is a tube-driver power amplifier?
But the TB power amplifier is a transistor power amplifier.

Class d is a bit different than a typical transistor amplifier. Whether or not it needs a load or not comes down to design and it is 500 watts which is a lot of power, and heat. Orange says in the manual, that even when using the DI on the Terror Bass, it still needs a liad connected. I’d stick with that.
