I've just changed the power valves on my R30. From JJ EL34 to Tung Sol EL34B. Both are really good. The JJ (already in the amp when I bought it) sound almost as good as the Tung Sol, but have some wear on them.
Next time, I'll save a little cash and buy new JJs. Glad I tried though.
Which brings me to......
I love pics of glowing valves. There's something about them.......
Here my new 6P14P EV replacing the EL84 in my new to me Genz Benz Black Pearl 30.
Now is the real question - do you have any valve porn to share? Or, musically, does something else does it for you?
