Peavey Rage (Silver practice combo). Got this in a guitar bundle one year for xmas. I think I was 7 or 8 at the time.

Peavey Rage 158 (Red stripe). Bought this to replace the above amp which gave up after a few years. Still have this guy, and still play it from time to time. Since I can't find an AD5 combo (yet), this has become my quick setup/writing amp when I'm not jamming in my music room.

Wasburn BD75R. This was my first REAL amp purchase. I saved up for a summer working at McDonalds and took a two hour trip to the nearest big city. I found this beast in a mom and pop music store that my guitar teacher recommend. It was actually a toss up between a 3X10 Roland combo, and this guy. Looking back now, I should have picked up the Roland :) I was a bit of a Washburn nut back then which is why I picked it. At the time I was running it with a a Zoom G7.1 (not a bad pedal in it's day). Kind of wish I still had the amp as you know, cleans right?

Traynor YCV40WR (with extension cab). Bought this used and got a killer deal on it. It was my first ever tube amp and the only amp I regret selling.

TT/PPC112. Got this my first year of college and when I officially became addicted :)

And my wife moans because there are 5 amps in the house.......

My path was quite quick.

- Marshall 20 ss from the mid 90s.
- H&K Blue Attax 40w as amp (covered in idiotic fuzzy carpet tolex. Got dirty FAST and stayed that way)

There was a musical yatus between 2002 and 2006..... and then bought my 1st proper amp.

- Orange RV50 and PPC212

Ive owned a ton in both head/cab form and combos. Fender, Marshall, Vox, Blackstar, Peavey...I dont believe in only owning just one brand, too many great amps out there to limit myself. Oranges I had and sold were the Micro Terror, Dark Terror, OR15, Rocker 30 and Rockerverb 50 MKI. Moved on to bigger wattage amps from various brands. Kinda regret selling the RV50 though! Currently the only Orange I have is the CR120H which I really like.

When I started playing properly (1969), I was gifted a Vox AC10 combo from a friend of my Dads.
1973 I had just started work and college so sold the AC10 (wish I hadn’t) and got a solid state HH100 combo.
Sold the lot in 1978 as realised I wasn’t going to be the next Jimmy Page and had to put all efforts into career.
Fast forward to 2014. I decided to play again so just went for what I always lusted after…an Orange. I got the TH30C.
I have subsequently bought the CR120H, originally as a non-valve backup, but that has turned out to be a really good amp and I use it a lot. I have also bought a Blues Cube Artist and have a Vox AC4.
Edit; I almost forgot I had a Vox AC30 head for a short while, liked it, but could almost get Vox tones with what I had so sold it.
Now looking for another Orange.

Good grief.

This is another copied thread. Like I said, what is the benefit from this to spammers?

On occasion, they have come back to update their post later on with actual spam.

Seems like a lot effort for a thread buried some way down.....

Before moving into all tube amps, I was a solidstate amp player from almost the beginning. Then one day I woke up and no longer liked my tone. On my quest to find my sound, I discovered something that was always there but had never gotten bit from, Orange tube amps, warm vintage tone! Now I own 4; Rocker 15 Terror, Jim Root Terror, Dark Terror, and Micro Dark Terror. I sold off all solidstate & modeling amps and racks and prefer all analog tube amp heads, some good Celestion filled cabs, and all analog FX pedalboards.

But my past amplification from the 80s till 2015 (when I had my revelation) consisted of the following:

1- Peavey Renown 400, had it for approx 4 years
2- Gallien-Krueger 250ML - paired with a Yamaha REX50 multi-fx unit in the FX Loop, probably kept this setup for about 6 years
3- Marshall 8008 Valvestate - paired first with an ART DST4 & then a Digitech GSP1101 Preamps (full rack setup) - had the power head for longest, around 20+ years and the preamps about 8 years each
4- Fender Mustang III 112 combo, had it for about a year
5- Blackstar ID:60 TVP, great amp for a solid state with built in FX, very warm and the True Valve Power (TVP) gave it a nice valve amp feel (maybe 6 months I had this) this launched my search a real tube amp that would satisfy my tonal needs
6- Hughes & Kettner Grandmeister 36, for about a year (an extreme all tube amp with built in FX for sure but just could not get my tone from it)
It was at this point that I decided to simplify my rig with small but loud all tube amp heads, Orange Terrors came along and totally blew me away. With a few great Celestion filled cabs, and nothing but analog FX pedals setup on 2 pedalboards my quest for tone was complete. Amp by Orange, cabs by Marshall, Blackstar, & EVH5150III with Celestion Vintage 30s & 70th Anniversary speakers, and pedalboards full of MXR, Dunlop, Way Huge, DOD, Ibanez, Boss, Digitech, EHX, Analog Alien, EarthQuaker Devices, Wampler, Shift-Line did it for me. Essentially a return to gear (well, mostly) made by manufacturers that were there making history on some of the most iconic recordings of 70s & 80s Classic & Hard Rock!
