It's always about what the market will PAY for....
if you want them to make a certain type of amp, then you need to be buying those... NEW.
expensive British-made big-output boxes are not in vogue right now and they don't sell particularly well, so there will always be a revolving door or sorts with those offerings, looking to capture a market that is hungry.
the RVs are the steady ones, always there, always sell, WIDE appeal to different genres.
The Rocker30 died first
Then the Thunderverbs died
the Dual Darks kinda replaced the TV series (although with no reverb)
AD5-15-30 combos have all been shut down as Combo's made in england seem to just be a bad idea.... I THINK the RV50 is the only combo made in england right now...
AD50-CS is long gone
AD30R is even longer gone (and probably deservingly... but I still want one)
the AD30HTC lives. again, a versatile, unique amp that its owners tend to adore. Probably a limited time left on this one, as the used market is a STEEP discount from new even for a cream-puff.
If you want an OR50, I believe you can still get a Custom Shop 50, which is pricey, for sure, but is a VERY similar circuit.
OR you can get an OR15 (chinese), not exactly the same, but nifty/fun little amp with some serious chops for certain music types.
OR100 was cool, but cannibalized the RV100, so that was dumb.
add the new Rockers (which I don't think are anything like the old ones with EL34s, but whatever).... and you have a nice spectrum.
Rocker 15
OR15
Rocker32
AD30
TH30
RV50
DD50
CS-50*
RV100
DD100
TH100
I'm guessing the TH30/100 will die next. The Rockers should kill the 30, and the 100 might only survive based on being a 100W all-tube offering at that price point.
I haven't bought a single NEW orange tube amp, all 5 were used, and all but 1 I COULD HAVE bought new, but chose to save money. So I am in no position to complain or criticize.
