Solo artist name question?

Hi guys. Long time no see.
I hope this is okay to post here, I'm hoping you can help me out. I'll shortly be recording a bunch of my own music under my name. I've previously only ever put out music under a band name, but this time I want it to be clear it's all me, all instruments and writing and producing.
Thing is I have a bit of an unusual name. My full name is Maximillian Antonio Rossell. I go by Max, but my first problem is that no one ever pronounces my last name right. It rhymes with "boss-hell" with the emphasis on the second syllable, but people always say "rustle". The second problem is that whatever permutation of the name I come up with sounds a little bit pretentious to me. I wish my name was a bit more like Tom Waits or David Gray or Jack Jones. But still, I'd like to use my own name if possible, so can you guys make some suggestions or give me some thoughts on what variant of my name I could go by?
It's quiet acoustic stuff with elaborate instrumental and vocal arrangements, sort of Damien Rice meets Fiona Apple meets Jeff Buckley, that kind of stuff.
