Picked up a Rocker 30 for $600 from a pawn shop a few weeks ago. I liked it a lot but wanted a bit more oomph, a bit more gain and a little reverb. Put it up on for sale or trade on Craigslist yesterday and some guy wanted to trade me his RV50 for my R30 plus $100. Since I only paid $600 for the R30, I figured I was getting the RV50 for $700 which is a steal IMO, so I did it. Only played it at home on low volume but it sounds killer and Im taking it to our big gig tonight and might actually use it as risky as that seems ha. We will see.

Thanks! I brought it as a backup but decided I probably shouldn't use an amp Ive only played for 10 minutes at home for our first live show together I'll be taking it to next rehearsal though and it may become my main amp for smaller bars where I can't get my JCM 2000 past 3-4. Sound guy actually told me to turn down last night halfway thru the set when I was around 5 on the volume knob (which is what I sound checked at), the JCM doesn't sound its best at lower volumes IMO so the RV50 might be seeing some stage time soon!Ronnie Robinson wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 8:41 amExcellent buy. We had a show last night. Used my RV MK III and got a ton of compliments about my tone. I play a lot of leads and the other bands were so in love with the way it sung out in the mix. I have never used a MK I but the MK II is super nice so I can only assume the MK I is that way too.
