never tried the rocker terror, but i have no regrets about replacing my tiny terror combo with a rocker 15.

well there is toby's guitar gear channel. but it's the rocker 15 combo not the rocker 15 head. he runs it through the same cab he is running the tiny terror. if the combo and head are the same amp this should give you a good idea. also he does some of the best orange amp reviews i've ever seen. and the best thing is no talking ... just how the amps sound.

I responded to your other thread. It's going to depend on your style of metal. But man, the Rocker 15 combo is great. It was so easy to dial in, the natural channel is amazing for pedals and I'm running all the modulation effects in the loop. One of the reverb pedals has a Fuzz built in and the fuzz sounds AMAZING bypassing the loop, grindy and clear. The modulation effects aren't muddy like they are in the Dual Terror they come through beautifully and a nice shimmering veneer on your tone. The Rocker 15 also picks up a lot of "wood" tone from your guitar whereas the Dual Terror didn't do that on either Channel. If modulation effects aren't something you're going to use the TT is just fine and it has nice tone as long as you don't push the gain or volume past 3 o'clock, if you do it's starts getting brittle. If you purchase the TT be sure to purchase a 2x12, if you decide on the Rocker 15 combo purchase a 1x12 (I use the Orange cab with a vintage 30) because it makes all the difference in the world. The Rocker 15 has a 10 inch speaker that has decent low end but it's missing a little "something" that a 2 inch speaker provides.

I hope this helps.

I have the Rocker 15 combo and a TT hardwired with a matching Orange 4x10 cab. Like it have been said before, and you can hear it on some demo, the two amp sound very similar. Sound wise, you dont need a Rocker 15 if you have a TT. You can even get pretty pretty close of the Rocker natural channel with the TT.

But...
The rocker is by far the most versatile. It takes pedals so much better because of the well-designed effects loop. I rarely play without reverb and I always thought that reverb pedal didnt sound in a TT; they sound great in my Rocker 15. So for me my medium-sized pedalbaord (with 3-4 time-based/modulation effects) the Rocker is way better. Also, the 2 channels of the Rocker makes it more versatile and the bedroom switch makes it very usefull at home. I was not able to play my TT in my appartment, exept on the 7 watts setting in a cab loaded with a non-efficient speaker.

For straight out punk-rock, with little or no effects, I give a edge to the TT. It have a little more complexity in the gain (reminder that mine is the Hardwired Made in England version). Since I really like 10" speakers, the Rocker 15 speaker suit me fine. It's super efficient, so it's able to keep up in a band (other 10" speakers are not able to do it). I still prefer the TT and the Rocker 15 with the 4x10 Orange cab since it give the amps more depth and projection.
