They can fit for sure. The 6L6’s aren’t running at full power though as it’s only 15watts. Hefty trsnsformers would be needed for anything more, and up goes the cost, size of chassis and weight. The EL84’s can run at full power in that footprint. I probably would of gone 6V6 instead of 6L6. Maybe they made an error in the description?

So yea, if they can fit 6L6s in a lunchbox amp, they can definitely fit EL34s. Emsley just has an obsession with EL84s. I mean they are ok and all but why do 80% of the Orange tube amps need to be EL84s? The only current production Orange amps I can think of that use EL34s are the DD and RV amps.
I hear today's production EL34s are inconsistent in quality. But yeah, no "small" tubes for me.
