I have a Rocker 30. Why should I get an OR15?

There is an OR15 in black tolex on my local Craigslist for a decent price right now. I am real happy with my R30. Why should I buy the OR15. What does it do that my R30 doesn’t do? :?:

Why do you need another amp if your happy with the one you got? If you sell the Rocker, you’ll regret it. Trust me! OR15 is a cool amp, but I find them noisy compared to the Rocker, not as much oomph either. They have an effects loop which is a bonus.

Not looking to sell my R30, just looking to possibly add another amp to the stable. BTW, my R30 has an effects loop so not gonna be a bonus over the R30. I think I am going to wait for NAMM next week to see if Orange announces anything new that blows me away. Might look to leave the Rocker 30 at our practice space and buy something new (low watt) to keep at home.

Hey join the club.....most of us have more than one Orange amp so why not and it's different enough in tone / gain structure etc

If it's second hand at a good price , you can keep it for a while and if you don't want to keep it sell it and not loose anything.

I just A/B'd my OR15 and Rocker 30 the other day. Here is from that post.

I was surprised how similar they sounded but the gain needed to be full up on the R30 to match the OR15's gain at 3 o'clock. I like having that extra gain stage. I was also surprised at how the 15 pretty much kept up with the 30 in volume. 10 o'clock on the R30 was like between 10 and 11 o'clock on the OR, it wasn't even a full notch difference. As you can see in the pic, my 15 is only slightly up on the volume knob compared to the 30 and they were pretty much at the same volume at that point. The 30 did sound a bit more full obviously as it has bigger tubes, but it wasn't hugely noticeable. I doubt it would be noticeable at all once in a mix with a full band at volume.
