My friend brought his newly acquired tiny terror combo over yesterday and we jammed a bit (I'm learning to play drums). The amp sounded really good cranked.
A little later, we plugged my pedalboard in and passed the guitar back and forth trying various stuff. I was really impressed with how good this amp sounded at every volume level, clean or dirty, and with or without pedals. I especially loved the speaker (g12h 70th anniversary- not sure if those were stock or not).
I then switched over to my OR15 and PPC112. Of course the OR15 has more gain available, but even on comparable gain settings, it hit me how directional the v30/ppc112 is. It can also sound boxy and/or harsh, which I already knew.
I wanted to try plugging the OR15 into the TT combo's speaker, and the TT into the ppc112 but we didn't have enough time, but now I'm really considering getting a cab with a g12h or taking the back off my ppc112 or something.
Finally, it was really cool to try a tiny terror after owning or using a rockerverb mkiii, ppc412, ppc112, OR15, micro dark, ppc108, thunderverb 200, and ppc412hp. It was like coming full circle. I love how all these amps distinctly sound like Orange, but how each one is a little different.
Sorry for the long post. I'm currently having a snow day!

Hello Hi!
The TT head is my main amp, but I did play through a TT combo once. I was amazed at how much smoother the combo was than the head/ppc112. The open back really helps spread out the sound as well. If you have a saw and drill at your disposal I would suggest picking up a piece of plywood and making an open back cab for your ppc112. It would really help out with sound dispersion. Just make sure to keep the original back in order as you can always replace it if you decided to sell/swap back.

Ok I'm almost positive I'm gonna make my ppc112 an open back. Worst thing that happens is I put the full back on it again!

The G12H30 is a pretty nice speaker.
It came standard on all Tiny Terror Combo before Orange switched to the Voice of the World speaker, pretty late in its production.
The PPC112 is pretty boxy sounding by itself, but once mic'ed it doesn't matter.
I've heard it records very well too.

My first Orange was a Tiny Terror with two ppc112’s. They are boxy sounding a bit, I always had one as an open back. Still great cabs.

I just took the back off, but it leaves the jack loose which isn't that desirable. I upgraded not long after so never made a proper back for it.

Oooh I forgot about the jack plate. Good call

A friend of mine has the Tiny Terror combo and loves it. He's wanting to add a PPC112. To do this, he would need to disconnect the 16ohm connection from the speaker in the combo and plug it into the 8ohm? Then, plug the PPC112 into the other 8ohm slot? Thereby having two 16ohm cabs running in unison, plugged into the dual 8ohm outputs of the amp?
