Re: No NAMM rumors at all..?
Just went through both the January and February 2018 issues of GW and saw nothing. You sure it was Guitar World?Dexter211275 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2018 8:26 pmThe new GW magazine has the new Hinds amp in it. I can’t believe a print magazine has pics and info before the internet in this day and age. Found out about it on TGP, can’t believe no one here has any info.

Re: No NAMM rumors at all..?
Apparently the 3 different issues for Feb 2018 don't just have different covers, but different content as well. I have the Steve Vai one but I saw online the Joe Satriani one from this month has different tabs and featured articles as well. I wonder which one it's in thenDexter211275 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2018 11:55 pmThe guy said he got It in the mail yesterday. I’m guessing it’s the March issue then

Countdown clock to new gear on the Orange website now. Appears to be tomorrow at 1pm west/4pm east. Im really hoping to see at least one new EL34 powered amp. 80% of the current Orange line is all EL84.

Why UK? If they're going to be using Chinese parts anyway they might as well be made China. Why would you want to pay more?Ronnie Robinson wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2018 10:25 pmI'd like to see a new full sized orange head made in the UK of at least 30 watts .....

Re: No NAMM rumors at all..?
Check out the Brent Hinds thread, we have this discussion going on. Ive been told the only difference between the UK made Oranges and the Chinese made Oranges are the transformers, which I have a difficult time believing. If thats true, that means we are basically paying a huge premium to have it made by British people rather than Chinese people

Electronic components are not mainly made in China?bclaire wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2018 1:01 amUhh... pix of a UK amp with Chinese parts please. Not true or at least not the same parts are used in UK made amps.Tisca wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 11:34 pmWhy UK? If they're going to be using Chinese parts anyway they might as well be made China. I certainly remember Ade being interviewed stating the quality of components was better in UK made amps and it was n't just the transformers .

Re: No NAMM rumors at all..?
It's possible they use better components, but most electronic passive components are highly likely to be manufactured in China.Ronnie Robinson wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2018 7:54 amNot true or at least not the same parts are used in UK made amps.Tisca wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2018 11:34 pmWhy UK?
