ORANGE man cave!!

Post by MikeD » Tue Nov 07, 2017 3:57 pm

So, since I put the cover band to rest it´s basically gone downhill from there. Since we were re-grouping the guy that owns our rehearsal studio decided he wanted the space back and kicked us out. The drummer decided to start his own new cover band and wooed the other guys over, whom amazingly enough after so many years of never being able to find, fix or basically contribute with any technical help figured out how to dismember their own in-ear systems from our complex onstage rack, took all their gear and left me with the hassle of cleaning up   .

Well, seeing that I can´t really afford to get a rehearsal place on my own and finally finished school I decided to turn the basement office, which was my rehearsal studio when I was 17, back into just that. I ended up storing the extra amps and putting everything into one rack on the other side of the desk and can now fit a drum kit and some amps on the other side if I get a band together again. So what do you guys think....oh and the beer tap is in the next room Billy ;-)

Looks good - I gave my steer horns away because I realised if they fell they would kill my drummer.

Let's see a picture of the beer tap now...

Hmmmm... And that's a bad thing? 😂 😂

... It's in storage cause I'm obviously not grown up enough to have a keg on tap. It will only come out when there's enough musicians in the room to help me finish the 5 liters

Firebird a favorite... For playing at least, it's perfect for sitting with... The LP always wins though sound wise
 And both lava lamps sit with me now... Brings the MOJO!!

Speaking of Spinal Tap, my band's anniversary is on 11/11, which of course is Nigel Tufnel Day! We'll be 29 years old this Saturday!

My 70s Tribute SG has the same mini humbuckers and I like them a lot.

I thought they lacked treble and sparkle until raised pretty high up, surprisingly close to the strings, but then, they have great sparkle and low output vintage mojo. Not saying that I prefer them to the beefier burstbucker pro pick ups in my LP, but i like them both a lot!!!
