Re: OR30??!
I'd love one too...twin channel, very similar to the Or50 plus power scaling and HF knob .....
Who knows what Orange is thinking .

Has to run on el34's though. Really not a fan of el84's.

Re: OR30??!
Cathode bias the 50. Or find a Rocker 30. I’m not 100% sure, but I think the only difference between an OR50 snd Rocker 30 is a cathode follower after the 3rd gain stage, then the fixed bias power amp.
Re: OR30??!
Newbie here, but just purchased my first Orange amp two weeks ago.
I wanted to give a second, a third, and a fourth to having an OR30 offered by Orange. I want an OR15 but fear it wouldn’t be loud enough in rehearsals and small gigs. Whereas the OR50 may be too loud and you can’t crank the Master to push the power tubes.
To me, an OR30 would be the perfect package of classic single channel Orange tone and enough wattage to be heard in rehearsals and gigs.
I support Joebot 100% on this!

I agree. An OR30 would be awesome.

OR30, single channel, EL34, HF knob and on board reverb?

I'd buy an OR-30 with a half power switch.

Re: OR30??!
better option...
OR, just buy an outboard attenuator... which is the simplest answer to all of these issues for almost everyone.
there's a reason my TV50 gets more practice reps than my OR15, AD30, and AD50 combined...... PPIV, aka: ATTENUATOR

I have a Power Station. It’s fantastic. But nothing beats just having an amp with a power section that you can get working at the volumes you need.Dark Helmet wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2017 4:59 pmbetter option...
