RIP: Tom Petty

Sad to hear that Tom Petty died yesterday. Saw him several times in Boston including one of his first appearances at the Paradise on July 16, 1978. He was a great songwriter...

My takeaway from TP's passing is to schedule a physical with my doctor since those of us at a similar age need to really watch our health....

It's always good to get physical with your doctor. Is she fit?

I always viewed Petty and all of his crew as "late" classic rock in terms of their age compared to say the Stones. And since they were still producing great music I thought they would keep trucking for some time to come. I felt a bit of musical solace, which I didn't know I would lose when his death was announced.

Quite enjoyed this one, I watched it awhile ago
