Hello.
I'm new here and had a NAD last week with my very first ever Orange amp. The mighty Jim Root Terror and matching 2x12 cabinet.
This is a perfect upgrade from my Blackstar HT-5 as I'm currently jamming with a drummer, guitarist and bassist ( we all can't sing and we haven't found a vocalist).
We play rock, hard rock and metal. Like All Right Now to Enter Sandman and lots in-between.
So I have my 2x12 setup in the jam room at the office.
What I need now is a small cab for home use. I have kids. So I'm wondering if the 1x8 is to small for home use and that I should be looking at a 1x10 or 1x12?
What are your thoughts?
I currently play a '90s Burny Les Paul, Epi SG Pro and a Chapman original run ML-1 with upgrade pups (2x Irongear Jailhouse II rail pickups and a BKP Warpig plus a freeway sixway switch and a coil split!).

Go for PPC112. Not necessarily Orange, but make sure I has a nice speaker, preferably something similar to celestion V30 or your voice of the world speaker, which is pretty close to a V30.
The PPC108 is a bit gimmicky.
Jet city, Marshall, blackstar and vox make some nice cabs to various degrees, do your home work re: construction. Preferably, but one made out of ply wood with a good quality speaker.

You can't go wrong with an Orange ppc112 and V30 speaker .....I'd forget about the 8inch cab. Buy second hand if you can to save money and get an already broken in speaker.

Leave the amp at the practice space. Get a small practice amp like a Yamaha THR5, which is nearly half the price of a PPC112 cab, and is very versatile as a practice amp.

If you want zero noise, try an Orange Micro Terror or Micro Dark and use the headphone out option.
But I'd go for the Orange 1x12 if you still want to be loud a bit!
