I've bought one of these:

Strymon Blue Sky?

Or

Digitech Supernatural Reverb?

Listen to the demo. Which would you buy?

Hoping to receive mine soonish.

Bluesky for sure! Even had a Bigsky for a few months but traded it back for the smaller version. Much easier to manage, and shimmer is a bit more robust on the blue aswell. The favourite switch is quite handy as well.

I liked the supernatural over the bluesky. Both really good though.

And one vote in the other direction!!!

To be honest, listening to the demo I've posted, I can't say that one is better than the other. Strong similarities, and some voicing differences. The strymon has this beautiful highs that seem to be present whatever the settings.

The supernatural might be slightly darker, certainly on the shimmer.

The shimmer sound is the only reason I went with one of these two.
Great sound, but these 2 reverbs are the only reverbs I know that do it so well.

The supernatural has a number of other great settings too. You need to adjust manually though.

The strymon has that favourite switch capability ... Very handy indeed.

They both sound great in all the reviews I've heard.

Interesting.......
Basically because of what you described in your orevious post. I mostly use spring reverb, and between the two I found the supernaturals spring to sound better without the highs that the bluesky seemed to produce.

I'm very very pleased!!!

There are 3 mods there that I'll be losing a lot of time with - shimmer, supernova and shine (lighter shimmer, more subtle).

That is one great pedal. Only spent 30mns or so with it yet, so I've only scratched the surface, but there is a lot to get lost in with this pedal!

The only let down compared to the Strymon Blue Sky (I haven't owned it) is that there's no favourite switch.

You can't win everytime boy.

I feel like I totally won though!!!!
Those pedals are very sought after and don't hang on for long on eBay or other selling places. I believe they sell for more now than they did new!!!!

Did you listen to the youtube demo I posted earlier?

Yea I listened they both sound like reverb pedals :) Can be set quite similar as well it seems. I still prefer the BS as it has the favorite switch. I use it all the time to switch between patches. Only things i don't like about it are the high power requirement, and that spill over doesn't work when switching the favorite on /off. Does the Digitech have spillover?

It does.
It sounds really nice - I wasn't expecting it, I switched it off and the reverb kept decaying....

That favourite switch is a great function. When you have a pedal that can offer as much as the Blue Sky or the Supernatural, the favourite switch or midi capability should be there. It is for the Blue Sky, but lacking for the Supernatural.

After playing with it some more this weekend..... if think I might have to make do with 2 reverb pedals on my board.

I built a Belton brick diy spring reverb pedal 3 years ago, and it sounds nicer I think than the spring reverb on the Supernatural.... so that may solve my lack of favourite switch issue!!!

I need to play them more side by side.... through my Rockerverb and have the choice of 3 different reverbs at hand!!!!!! 8)
