Gassing for a Rocker 15... but...

There's a guy selling a Rocker 32 for $850 on CL. I am still leaning toward the 15, because I don't need the higher wattage, but the stereo aspect is intriguing, for sure. But then there'd be the added cost of buying stereo capable pedals, and power tube replacement would be 2x the 15. So, yeah, probably the 15 for me.

But putting this up to hear other's opinions on the matter. Let loose!

I wouldn't worry too much about the extra wattage... mainly, do you need the lower option offered by the R15?

The R32, is 2 R15 in one box, rather than a true 30 watter, it's more 2 * 15w.

Personally, u believe there's more fun to be had on the R32 with its stereo loop.

I liked the 32 better tonally than the 15, that's what's most important to me.

I’m hesitant about buying used after realizing the Orange warranty is only good for the original buyer. Plus you can get a 1 year extension for a total of 2 years when buying new.

I’m lucky because I live about 20 minutes from Orange USA headquarters. I ran my TTHW down there twice and they are a great bunch of ppl. Point being, getting warranty coverage is an easy task for me.

A new 32 is just out of reach, budget-wise. The 15’s right in my wheelhouse, money-wise.

Screw it... heading down to GC ATL tomorrow and bringing home a Rocker 15.

Then I’ll need to sell my Marshall Offset 1w head/cab to cover it... no bites on CL for months... have to sell it on Reverb or eBay. Don’t like shipping amps... but really want an Orange back in the house after selling my TTHW. Nothing like Orange amp’s distortion... nothing. Gotta have it! Again... ;-)

Anyone have any negative experiences selling amps on Reverb? I guess it’s more of a Paypal question, with 180 day return policy...

I don't think reverb has a 180 return policy as long as the item is as described. I would re-read that policy. If it is an open return policy, I don't see how anyone (private people) is selling gear on there. It can't be a buy and try it for that long and then just decide to return it one day and expect the seller to have your funds just waiting for the just in case.

If that is what the policy states, then that is the most crazy return policy I have ever heard of. Big box stores generally only have a 30 to 45 day window.

Paypals 180 day period is for filing disputes, if an item wasn’t recieved or as described for example.

Thanks for responding; much appreciated!

Thanks for clarifying that, Jondog!
