Need help with tiny terror combo resistors

Post by Frosty » Thu Sep 21, 2017 5:11 pm

Bought a Tiny Terror combo amp and it has an absolutely fried resistor (R10) and a quite toasty one because of proximity (R9). I have seen people say some quite random numbers for the values of these resistors and while I could measure R9 or go by the color bands, R10 is way too far gone for either. Anyone on here have a nice pic of R10 so I can clearly see the bands so I may buy a replacement. I added an attachment with the image of my R10 and R9.

One of them is 1.5k, the other is 220k. Not sure which is which as I can't really see your photo. Same values as R7 and R8. The 220k goes to ground and the 1.5k goes to the grid. Find out why they fried before using amp.

They most likey were fried because someone was using the 8ohm jack in the back of the amp with the built in 16 ohm speaker for god knows how long

The tubes are possibly no good, hopefully the transformers are OK.
