Hi,
What is exactly the question? Clean channel, dirty channel ? What kind of amp?

experiment radical tone settings. Treble and bass up middle down. etc. You need to get rid of the "fat" in the sound

I was goona say the best way would be to sell it and buy a vox or fender hahah.

Perhaps get an EQ pedal to help bring out those "chimey" frequencies?

i was wondering what treble mids and bass i should try on my amp, but i also have a fat 50's neck pickup on my fender starcaster which looks like a fender strat, and which pickup should i use, the neck pickup, the middle pickup, the bridge pickup and 2 other pickups

Have you tried just moving them around until you are happy with the sound? For high chime I would say max the treble, lower the bass, and adjust mids to taste. It's also possible that amp can not produce the sound you are after. I'll tell you from personal experience that not every amp was designed to cover every tone.

If it sounds chimey to you, yes. We can't hear it through the interwebs....

I don't know about the tone stack in your Crush 35RT, but my own Micro Dark (a hybrid amp) and Dark Terror have that "chime" factor going on. My description of their "chime" is almost akin to the tone a harpsichord (lots of overtones) but with a bit more sustain to it and bell-like ring.

As a post above mentioned, take then"fatness" out your Crush's tone. Minimize the bass, boost highs substantially, and season with the mids control to get it bright. In both of my Oranges, I run the amp's volume and gain knobs about equal to each other. My MD's vol. and gain knobs are between 10 and 11'o'clock. The DT, at 9 and 10 o'clock, or so. Switch you the bridge pickup with guitar volume and tone full on. Playing the strings closer to the bridge brings the chime out, if it's present in that particular Orange model. BTW, I'm using a Les Paul.

Personally, I feel that Orange amps have the best "chime" or "edge of breakup" sound out of the many amps I have tried. You have to run the gain quite low. Just enough to where you're barely getting some distortion if you play hard and get a clean sound when you play soft. On my Dual Terror, I have the Master set around 11 oclock and the Gain set around 10 oclock. I boost with a Klon KTR for more overdrive. Works perfectly!
