Funny, in 2008, I decided to buy myself a really good amp.

After doing lots of research and trying lots of amps, there was only 1 winner - the RV50. It's master volume is so good, it replaced my home practice solid state amp (mind you, i don't do headphones).

I still have it now.

The new RV50 MKIII with its attenuator should be even more home friendly.

My vote is for the Orange Crush Pro CR120H and matching Orange Crush Pro 4x12 Cabinet or the Orange PPC2x12 Cabinet. Click on my profile and look at my replies on the Crush Pro 120 head and cabinet - I’m overly happy and I’m content. I wish for nothing more. Don’t let the tube vs solid state crap get to you. Close your eyes and listen with your ears and heart. Use the remaining money you would have spent on the Rockerverb towards some nice pickups, pedals, cables or whatever. All the positive reviews online can’t be wrong. Orange is a reputable company and would not risk their reputation. Orange is not like Peavey who releases nice gear and junk too.

Great,

It's nice to see all the positive replies for both amps, and appreciate all the feedback. It's good to hear that I'll be happy with either models!

I may well let the market decide for me, and see what pops up on the used market, and if nothing pops up before I'm back in England will just head out and AB them.
