Backstory.... I've wanted an AD50 forever... could never find one.

Recently been thinking about an OR100 for the clean channel and the loop... I did just buy an OR15, which answers half of that question... but I still don't have a clean channel on anything I own...


So, after spending "some dollars" in the last couple weeks...

BOTH popped up on ebay... CRAP!!!!!!!

sooooooooo conflicted.... the OR100 is worryingly cheap, but the AD50 looks about right.

how clean can the AD50 stay? and is it good enough I don't care about the lack of a loop?

And what's market rate for a 12-year-old boy?

I hear the AD50 fuzzes up quickly. I'd go the OR100 myself.

Id probably go AD50, but that's because I don't need a lot of versatility in an amp, and Ive wanted one ever since I saw Jimmy Page rocking one!

The AD50 is rarer and more difficult to find.

You may not see one again for a number if years. It doesn't mean it's the right amp for you.....

If I can add to my earlier post, I'd say the OR100 isn't all that dis-similar from the Rockerverb, which I can only assume is why it was discontinued. So I'd feel comfortable getting a Rockerverb in place of an OR100. Not sure there's anything that could replace the AD50 and its rare. Id get the AD50 knowing the Rockerverb will still be there.

I'll try to do an A/B with the AD50 and AD30 through the same cab... with some OR15 and TV50 for giggles too...
