NCD: Orange OBC115 (now in stack form)

I recently posted asking about what people thought of pairing an OBC210 and an OBC410 as I was running a 2x10/1x15 stack but wasn't totally getting what I wanted from the pairing. I thought that pairing like for like speakers may be a better solution.

The other night at rehearsal I plugged into each cab solo and realised that 95% of everything I was loving was coming from the OBC115 and in fact the OBC210 was actually being drowned out a bit.

Anyway, my solution to that was to get another 1x15 and make a 2x15 stack.

Jammed with it last night and it is GLORIOUS!

Pants shakingly loud but at the same time not flubby or too lower/mids focussed. The highs are definitely still there and it is easy to coax aggressive to sweet tones just by playing dynamics.

I admit I have not played through the 8x10 but for wall of sound I am more than happy with the 2x15 setup.

I do wish they were more readily available here in orange. Black is still cool though

Nice. I wish orange made a 2x15. I've been using 2x15s exclusively for the past decade when I play bass.

Actually I had thought of that as the current Tolex is all torn up a bit, doing it in black with white piping could be pretty cool.

Up until recently it was very much just the stuff of dreams. I equated it to my desire to own a Triumph. I really wanted it but probably couldn't ever afford it.
