I love my PPC212OB with Orange tolex. I saw this black one on eBay for a decent price and couldn't say no. But it's missing the emblem and crest. If anyone has extras they're willing to part with, drop me a line!

Also, this cab has white piping. Were they ever shipping with white piping? It seems I've always seen them with gold.

that sucks that someone took it off. i dont know about the white vs gold piping.

I've got the PPC212 in black, UK made though, and the piping is white.

There was a forumite who had a thread recently about having a spare Orange crest I believe. Otherwise, you can perhaps contact Orange.

As for the grill cloth, which looks a bit stretched, I would brush on some water, a little at a time, until it is pretty wet and leave it to dry naturally. The cane grill cloth should tighten nicely then.

Yeah, I guess he was going to put his band's name on the front, but never got around to it and the band broke up. I'll get it looking proper one way or another.

Thanks! Not a bad score at all, I'd say. That's basically what I paid for my other one too. I like these cabs!

Thanks for the tip on the grille. It looks like it's stained a bit too, so I was thinking about trying to clean that. It gets here today, so I'll see how it looks.

Good to know at least some cabs were shipped with white piping. I actually already PMd the member who posted about the extra crest he had. Though, at best he just has the crest, no emblem. I did call Orange. They seem a little shaky on selling these, but if nothing else pans out, hopefully that will be an option.

And they're made in China too!

Truth told, I'll probably take the AlNiCo speakers out of my Avatar 2x12 and put them in this for a different sound than the other 212OB I have. That's the plan at least.

Look around town for a human who has a CNC/Laser etcher. It would be really cool to get them made out of wood and stain it.

Of course the other option is to find someone with a 3D printer. Should be a breeze to get one recreated. Could even do it in black and white so it matched even better!

Thanks, I just ordered them from Orange today. It'll be nice to just glue them on and have the cab back in proper aesthetic form.

Looking closely at the photo, that just looks like residue hot gun glue. That won't come off with water. I removed one of the badges from my R.30C. (The one right over the center of the single speaker, getting in the way of a mic! ) Used a sharp hobby knife to very carefully pick away all the glue, and it is now basically invisible.
But if you are just going to be glueing new badges over them you may not want to bother with all that hassle!

Yeah, I don't think I'll be messing with the glue. There are 2 adhesives on there and they're both solid on the grille. I may see if an exacto base helps any, as you did to yours. But I'm thinking it will be fine as is.

I took Ant's suggestion and applied some water for the dents in the grille. The cloth shrank right up! All fixed. The slight staining was helped a bit by the water as well. I'm not sure if it's worth getting into trying to clean that, considering how much the grille reacts to water.

Also, for anyone's future reference, I did confirm with Orange that they use hot glue for these. I'm not sure what the other glue is on the grille. It looks like carpet glue. Haha.

Oh, good to know! Thanks. That makes sense now, as this cab is a 2011.
