The search function on this site hasn't been working for me so I'm making another post.

My or15 sounds perfect for what I play... but it needs to be a more louder. To be honest, it has more gain than I need but I use more than I need with this one because it sounds so good. I have a 2013 or100 and it just doesn't do what I want. No tube or speaker & cab swaps make it sound how I want it to (I have tried more than I can remember). I have considered getting an or80 or or120 90's reissue, but I don't know anyone that has one for me to try before I buy.
I tried a badcat with the or15 and it sounded different. Most el84 amps don't do it for me but this one is perfect... just not big enough.
Any suggestions?!!!?!?!

Thanks
Plug your OR15 into a 4x12 or even a full stack and tell us if its loud enough then.

The answer is simple: Orange needs to make a OR30. I really thought they were going to address this a few years back, alas...

I would buy one if they did.
I think youre a candidate for a Rocker 32!

People over here will do a lot to convince you that what I'm about to say isn't true but whatever...

The OR15 is my 4th orange. I've previously owned: TH30, Rocker 30 and TV50.

There are a LOT of similarities between the tones of a TH30 and the OR15... a lot.

I've felt this way ever since I bought the OR 15 and, the following video might add some weight to what I'm saying (not my video by the way):

Again, on this forum this will be considered heresy but I do stand by it. So you want more power with a very similar tone: IMHO and IME: get a TH30.

Don't listen to him, he's a heretic!!!!!!

It makes sense though. The TH30 is pretty much a rockerverb light, and I was recommending the RV50 earlier.

That said.... he's a heretic!!!!!!

Perhaps, but I don't think they make a head version.

Not yet but I wouldn't be surprised if they did, the original Rocker came in combo and head. Plus with the Tiny Terror line gone and only the OR15 available they need to fill that nitch for a 2 channel small head, the R15 and R32 are perfect for that.

I have an OR120 90's reissue. It is insanely loud through the Marshall 1936 (2x12) that I usually take with me when I jam. It is a beautiful amp and sounds amazing. I like to use a boost pedal to get more overdrive when needed. It sounds so great all by itself, I often don't use any delay or reverb. I don't want to take away from the amp's take on my guitar. If you can find one, get one.

All good suggestions! I have considered the Fryette on more than one occasion and may have to give one a try.
Find some place or someone local to you with a Power Station you can crank up. I have a Power Station V2 and I think it will solve your problem. That's exactly what it's designed to do.

However, a new PS is the same price as an OR-15. If you add the cost of those 2 items up, you may find that your $1400 is better spent on one amp that achieves the volume levels you need.

Amps with a 2x EL84 output section just don't sound as big as amps with more tubes and bigger iron. I'd also try a TH30 and even an AD30 and see how you like the sound. The AD30 has considerably less gain, but you may like that amp, it's very nice. A Power Station can make a little amp like the OR-15 sound bigger. It has the depth control and voicing switches to add low end. But spending $700 on a device to make your $700 amp louder may be a moot point to some people.

The Power Station is a hugely versatile piece of equipment, and if you own multiple amps, it's worth having. I haven't played a gig without mine since I bought the PS. It also functions as a backup amp, as you can just plug pedals into it and you have a 50W tube power amp. It's expensive, but it does a lot.

I would play a few higher powered amps first, and if they don't get you what you need, a Power Station probably will. It's an expensive solution to the problem, but that's basically what they designed it to do.
