Need help TH30 vs Rocker 32
So I currently run a TH30 combo that I love to death. I play an American Standard Tele and a Classic player Jazzmaster as my main guitars. I started gigging a lot more and I really want a back-up not sure if I should save the cash and just get another used TH30 combo or spring for the Rocker 32 it seems sweet and could take over as my main amp. My main question is are they voiced terribly different? I love the capabilities of the Rocker 32 but if it sounds super different then I'll have to stick to the TH30. I do NOT use any gain settings past about 11 o'clock on my TH30 so high gain is not an issue. What do you guys think?

If you just need a backup how about a CR60?

Being honest I never considered it! Do you think they're comparable? I'm always skeptical of solid state crunch but I have heard good things about the CR series.

Try the Dark Terror. It's supposed to be derived from the TH30.
And looking at your sig, it seems you already have the TH100. Why not use that as backup? Just set it to either 50 or 35 watts and plug it in the combo speaker.

God made man... everything else is made in China!

I agree with Boy Narf, definitely consider the CR60 (or CR120c if it is within your budget, but it is heavy), you need to check that it would be loud enough for you as well as get the tone(s) you want. Check the headroom as well for cleans, if you need that. I use a TH30 combo and decided on a CR120 as backup and that has a lot more power than I need. Don't disregard them because they are SS.

Dark terror could be sweet! I sadly haven't updated my sig since I sold the TH100 it was just too much to lug around that's why I got the TH30 combo in the first place. Thanks for reminding me I needed to do that!johnnyblues wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2017 7:35 amTry the Dark Terror. It's supposed to be derived from the TH30.
