Greetings,
I'm hoping to get some feedback on which Orange cabinet would pair best with the Dark Terror amplifier. I don't have the opportunity to hear ANY of the three items in question before purchasing, hence the necessity of this post. I've been stuck with a modeling amp long enough to despise it and am ready to move up. It'll be home use only and size/weight are not concerns. Just want the best tone possible out of what will hopefully be the last amp/cabinet I'll ever buy. Would love to be able to get some Matt Pike inspired tones as well as some screaming capability for Randy Rhoads-type playing.
Thanks in advance!

Also take a look at the CRPRO412. All the hugeness of the PPC412 but a little tighter, imo.

a +1 for the 212OB..
I am not a believer that small wattage amps can effectively drive a 412..

My TT sounds ridiculous through my PPC412.
But the 212OB would be the best mix of sound, price, and portability.

I was screwing around with my JRT tonight, running the JR Cab plus a 4 12 Randall cab and it sounded pretty efficient to me, and my neighborhood. Lol..

I'm a big advocate of the 2x12, they can sound huge and don't take up as much room, easier to carry, not as expensive as a 4x12. That's my two cents...

Re: 2x12 vs 4x12 cabinet for Dark Terror
Agree... I did NOT like my OR15 into the 412, but when I just used one side of the stereo inputs on the cab (so , 212) it was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better.
all that said, I prefer closed back cabs, and I think they are still selling the compact closed-back 212, which would be my choice with that amp for sure. I kinda like the OB for the AD30 with all the sag and almost amoebic tendencies it has... but anything else, Closed-back all the way.

For the choice of music mentioned, I would go for the PPC212.
It sounds huge, and will have the punch the music you like requires.
