Rocker 30 in action

Post by Jabberwocky » Wed May 17, 2017 10:04 pm

Was mucking about on the web recently and came across this video of my old covers band, defunct this past 5 years. Moved on to new thing now with the the singer and the bassist in separate outfits, but this brings back some fun memories, so for your auditory delectation.......Old man playing his Strat through his Rocker 30 and having the time of his life kicking out good music with some good buddies!.....Sound aint so great but believe me it was ear splittingly awesome on the night!

Enjoy

Good stuff. Yeah I've been using my R.30 a lot lately for (silent - load box + H&K Red Box speaker DI) recording, but they certainly roar when you let them.

Strat sounds great through that R30!

I'm really impressed with the quality of the video - was that a hired job?

@ Norrin Radd, yes, this was a pro video job. The company were just starting out and wanted to film some bands for promo purposes and were offering it for about a tenth of their normal price so we jumped on it. They gave us a couple of the videos, but only discovered this one online just before I posted it here! Only down side was they took the sound straight from the desk so the sound is quite flat, and the performance lost it's venue 'ambience', but hey, good to see it 5 years on! The Rocker would have been on about 11'o'clock gain and about the same on channel volume, so not really howling yet!! venue was too small.
