I was messing with my Micro Dark this morning and running it into my PPC112. With my stock Strat and reverb pedal, it started sounding just wonderful. Who'd think that a Micro Dark and Strat could get "warm" tones ; and this after about 20 minutes of playing and letting the preamp tube warm up sufficiently. I got to thinking that my upcoming gig with a friend (who plays acoustic and the vocalist) will be accomplished using is Bose P.A. system. I'm not sure whether it would be wise to put the Micro Dark directly into his P.A. or mic the speaker cab into it. I say, mic the cabinet. A large part of that warm tone is coming from that broken in V30 speaker.
For those who utilized your Orange amps for smaller venues and relatively "quiet" playing; just how do you go about It? Do you have a favorite way of doing this? This will be just a duo and no drums or keyboards. My accompaniment will fill the keyboard role.

Mic it. Or use the simulated out.

I hope Orange comes out with an IPA. They could call it "Hops and Rockers"....
Oh whoops, Orange amp into A PA

take a look at the two notes cab.. it is the perfect companion to a pre-amp like the micro dark
even easier, you can demo it by getting the trial VST..
at a simplistic level it offers a power amp simulation, cab/mic simulations, eq and reverb..
I am running this VST driven solely by a BE-OD pedal with KT88 power amp and 412 V30 cab sim and playing either strat or LP it is the best sound out of my computer ..
and the Two notes CAB is pretty much this VST in hardware..
