Micro Dark as preamp

Sorry if this has been covered before. Can I use the micro dark as a preamp by running the fx send or the phones out to the fx return of another amp?

I ordered the micro dark the day it was released cuz it seemed cute and affordable, and I loved my OR15. I've had a love/not love (never really hate) relationship with the micro dark from the start. I finally decided that I just don't like the PPC108 cab. Last week I finally acquired a PPC412 and I decided to give the Micro Dark a go through it and I've been really enjoying it. I might try the micro dark as is into a 4x12 at practice and see how that goes as well.

Ok I tried it and it didn't work out well. I don't think it was the micro dark's fault though. The other amp is a laney gh100ti and it has a parallel effects loop. It might work better with a series effects loop, but I don't have an amp with one anymore.

I'm going to see if I can get away with just the micro dark for practice today.

Yeah not remotely loud enough but the tone was nice and it was cool to go to practice with just a guitar and a backpack. I'm glad I tried it though.

Is your OR15 loud enough???

If it is, you might want to try and track either a dark terror, TT, or #4 terror - those would fit in a back pack!!!

I haven't tried my OR15 at practice but I used to have a 15w egnater tweaker and that wasn't loud enough. Maybe I'll try the OR15 though. What I really need is a rockerverb!

Yes. We all need a Rockerverb. Except Boy_Narf. He doesn't need a Rockerverb. But everyone else does.
